It's been a long time since I've updated the blog and for that I apologise.
I'll be honest: I've sat down many times in the last few months wondering to write, and I realised that things have changed. I came up against a problem many bloggers face when they move to a new country - at first things are new, different, and exciting, but over time you begin to take things more for granted. I'm no longer amazed when I see a bus driving the wrong way up a one-way street, or when I see delivery drivers racing to drop flowers off for weddings or company celebrations. Korea has morphed from an object of interest and wonder to my home and a place I feel comfortable and relaxed in. This doesn't mean I don't have good fodder for blog entries - in fact, I think it's quite the opposite.
I'm still a stranger in a strange land, but a little less so each day. I now see the country through a new lens - one of a foreigner with a little more insight into Korea. One that might helpfully be able to share tips and tricks for places to visit, things to see, and adventures to have yourself when you visit this dynamic country.
If you have any questions, please let me know. In the meantime, I hope you appreciate the new direction for the blog and join me on future Adventures in Kimchiland.
MATT!
ReplyDeleteGotta keep up the posts to keep people coming back! I'm up to 97 blog posts this year, probably pretty easily 100,000 words.
I'm going to Atlanta myself next week, normally I don't like to travel. I've flown a grand total of 3 times since I left thailand back in the early 90s. Most of my trips are driving up and down the west coast.
